R134A Product FAQs
Clear answers about R134A compatibility, EPA certification, shipping, cylinder weight, automotive A/C service, refrigeration storage and delivery concerns.
Yes. This R134A refrigerant is supplied in a factory-sealed service cylinder. The original seal should remain intact until the cylinder is opened by a trained technician for approved service use.
Check the vehicle label, equipment nameplate, service manual and manufacturer specifications. Use R134A only when the automotive A/C, refrigeration or cooling equipment is specifically identified for R134A operating requirements.
R134A may be subject to EPA certification requirements depending on the application. Stationary air-conditioning and refrigeration work generally falls under Section 608, while qualifying motor-vehicle A/C service generally falls under Section 609.
Velotrex may request certification, employer authorization or resale documentation before processing an order.
R134A is commonly used in compatible automotive air-conditioning systems, service-shop A/C work, refrigeration equipment, chillers and medium-temperature cooling applications.
Always confirm the equipment label and service documentation before purchasing. Any replacement, retrofit or service work must be evaluated by a qualified technician before charging a system.
Orders are normally processed within one business day. Standard delivery is generally estimated at 2–5 business days after carrier pickup. Weekend and public-holiday orders are processed on the next business day.
Multiple cylinders may ship separately. Delivery estimates can be affected by carrier routing, weather, hazardous-material requirements and address restrictions.
A carrier label may display estimated, preset, dimensional or billing weight. This can differ from the product’s 30 lb / 13.6 kg refrigerant net weight because the cylinder and shipping packaging add weight.
If you have a concern after delivery, keep the cylinder unopened and contact us with your order number and clear photos of the cylinder and shipping label.
Follow the cylinder label and current safety data sheet. Keep the cylinder upright, secured and in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight, excessive heat and ignition sources.
R134A is pressurized and can create serious exposure hazards. Handling and system service should be performed by a trained, appropriately certified technician using suitable tools and personal protective equipment. Never intentionally vent refrigerant.
Do not connect, use or attempt to repair a cylinder that appears damaged, punctured or leaking. Keep people away, avoid heat and ignition sources, and contact local emergency services if there is an immediate hazard.
For visible shipping damage, contact Velotrex when safe with your order number and clear photos. If tracking shows delivered but the shipment is missing, check the delivery photo, entrances, garage, front desk, mailroom and nearby properties before contacting us.
